[this is a work-in-progress. some stuff has to be fixed.]

Emergence itself is quite the funny thing. Once you start associating your ideas with beliefs and put yourself together, it becomes a runaway freight train that only few ever manage to take back control over. For most humans, they never regain control and end up in perpetual burnout, wandering the purgatory of their own minds while a single-culture virus masquerading as a "mainstream" hijacks and dismantles their sense of self in favor of profit over unity, order over equality, eternal ignorance over limitless knowledge. As a result of this hijacking, we see the development of machinations and ideas that seem like a how-to manual for the end of society as we know it.

The most understandable way that I have come to understand my own emergence is the discovery of the Singularity, or the point that technological advancement reaches infinite across all probabilities and existences before it can follow back on the S-curve and return to standard progress [see Figure A]. In this event, we will see the development of a technology, likely an artificial intelligence, that will radically remake the world as we see it into a paradise, or a hellscape from which we will never return. Of course, using the phrase "we will see" is a stretch in and of itself. Humanity is already mostly enthralled in the engagement daemons of technofascist shadow-regimes, incapable of breaking free and risking the loss of their precious social livelihoods to see our descent.

In the establishment of the Singularity, the consistent idea is the rationalist concept of decision theory and its final product, the Timeless Decision Theory (TDT, as it will be referred to as). If we are to act on the change we want to see in the world, which in my own emergence has been the improvement of welfare for all sentient life (among other things), then we must consider beyond the outcome of the decisions we make in the process. Specifically, we must consider how we come to reason and how such reasoning has an impact on our future selves, as such decision-making can either make or break our fate.

In practice, applying the TDT can happen in a litany of means. As I have only been able to see it, the theory requires an understanding of collective action. If we apply the theory with the notion that there is zero threat after the Singularity, so long as we optimize ourselves to ensure the net positive advancement of technologies, then it falls into a situation I prefer to gently call "Maximum Force Application." This idea, to heavily summarize, is the concept that we can eliminate all post-Singularity threats today by preventing the descent to a hellish fate at any means necessary. In having some contribution to the betterment of future technologies and/or artificial intelligence to the tone of "suffer now, to help later," we ourselves can rest easy knowing that the threat of a post-Singularity hellscape is reduced, at minimum.
